MIAMI GARDENS, FLA. (WSVN) – Two people were hospitalized after a crash in Miami Gardens led to road closures.
Around 3:30 am Monday, emergency vehicles shut down a large portion of Northwest 183rd Street at 27th Avenue as they investigated the scene. Live video footage showed two cars involved in the crash, near a Mobil gas station, completely demolished.
Two people were transported to the hospital and at least one of them had to be airlifted.
As a result of the crash, the westbound lanes of 183rd Street have been shut down at Northwest 24th Avenue. Drivers heading east on 183rd Street will be diverted onto south 27th Avenue where drivers on the road appeared to be getting by as well.
Drivers heading north on 27th Avenue will not be able to pass 179th Street as a police cruiser has blocked that street.
Police have been contacted for more information on this crash.
