Victoria Mutual donates computer systems to Parkway Wee Care Faculty in Miami Gardens

[MIRAMAR] – Suzette Rochester Lloyd, Chief Representative Officer, and Gracelin Williams, Customer Service Representative, Victoria Mutual Building Society – Florida Representative Office, recently donated four desktop and one laptop computers to the Parkway Wee Care School and Kindergarten Center Baptist Church in Miami Gardens.
“We know these are challenging times with the COVID-19 pandemic, but we know that every bad comes something good and this donation will help keep the Parkway Wee Care School students moving forward, especially with the STEM program and coding. It is of course a pleasure for us to present these computers on behalf of the VM Foundation and Victoria Mutual, ”said Rochester-Lloyd.
This donation will help the school provide better internet access to more students as part of VM’s ongoing commitment to support youth education in the communities served by the VM organization.
The donated computers were taken out of service by the VM Florida office and refurbished to perform efficiently so that they are suitable for school use.
The presentation took place at Parkway Baptist Church, where Reverend Donald Lawrence, the pastor, received the donation. “We applaud VMBS for their commitment to responsible behavior, for maximizing the use of their equipment, using up the earth’s resources, and also for helping those who need this kind of support, and we are definitely delighted with this donation.” , commented Laurentius.
As an outreach branch of the Parkway Baptist Church, the Wee Care School and Kindergarten Center cares for children aged 1 to 6 years. The school has served the community for over 35 years. The environment not only promotes the educational and physical development of the children, but also their mental development.
